02 / How refills work
Buy the jar once. Refill it for years.

It arrives in two parts
Your engraved glass jar, and your first refill pod.

Slot the pod in
Unwrap it, drop it into the jar and light it. Each one burns for 35 to 40 hours.

Refill and repeat
When it's finished, wash the jar and slot in your next refill, for about £4 less than a new candle.

Everything that goes in, and what never does
A lot of candle brands take their supplier's word for what's safe. We look into every ingredient ourselves, and if we can't explain it, it doesn't go in.

Why both essential oils and fragrance oils? Some essential oils behave unpredictably when they burn, so we choose whichever works best for each scent.

What makes your candles different?
They're 100% coconut wax, with fragrance we blend ourselves and no paraffin, phthalates or parabens. And you keep the jar, then refill it.
How do refills work?
Your candle arrives in two boxes: the jar and a refill pod. When the pod is finished, wash the jar and slot in a new one.
How long does a refill last?
Each 175g refill burns for 35 to 40 hours.
Are your candles non-toxic?
Non-toxic has no agreed definition for candles, so we list our standards instead: 100% coconut wax, and no paraffin, phthalates, parabens, formaldehyde or sulfates.
